Acorns Class
Acorns
* 3 year olds (must be 3 by October 1st and FULLY potty-trained)
* Mondays and Wednesdays 9:00-11:30 or Tuesdays and Thursdays 9:30-12:00
* $175 per month
This program incorporates hands-on activities that promotes self-confidence, social/emotional skills, motor skills and creativity. Students will be introduced to monthly themes, letters, numbers, monthly bible verse and pre-reading and writing skills. The curriculum offers a comprehensive program that links connections in literacy, math, science, social studies, fine arts, health and safety, personal development, physical development and technology. With a careful balance of child-initiated play in the learning centers and teacher-directed lessons and group activities, your preschooler will gain an academic foundation and love of learning that he or she will carry into kindergarten and beyond.
Oaks Class

* Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9:00-1:30 OR Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays from 9:30-2:00

The Oaks program focuses on same skills as the Acorn class but more emphasis on academics such as reading, writing and math applications in preparation for Kindergarten. Our Oaks program ensures your child is ready to enter a structured kindergarten environment upon graduating from White Oak Children's Academy. Kindergarten will bring excitement and a new sense of responsibility with homework and class roles that your child will already be accustomed to as a WOCA student. Our Oaks classroom utilize learning centers, which allow for teacher-directed activities and collaborative problem solving, while maintaining flexibility for the children to independently explore areas of interest. The centers are focused on helping develop language and reading skills, construction, math, fine motor, art, dramatic play, science and sensory exploration, but also include the use of technology with curriculum-focused games and lessons on iPads. Each area helps your child further explore themes and concepts introduced in class with a hands-on, interactive approach. Our T,TH,F Oaks class has a half day option available. Dismissal is prior to lunch at 12:15. 1/2 day option cost is $225 per month.
Mighty Oaks Class

*Monday-Thursday from 9:00-2:00

The Mighty Oaks class is perfect for students with a birthday that just miss the kindergarten cut-off or for those that just make it, but could benefit from another year of preschool. This program incorporates reading, proper writing technique and formation, math and science applications and sight words. This class is uniquely modeled to correspond with kindergarten curriculum. The Mighty Oaks program ensures your child is ready to enter a structured kindergarten environment upon graduating from White Oak Children's Academy.
Seedlings Class

* 2-4 year olds WITH a caregiver
* Friday mornings 9:15-10:00
Session 1: Sep. 9-Dec. 16 (no class 10/28 or 11/25) $150
Session 2: Jan. 13-April 28 (no class 3/31 and 4/7) $160
This fun filled hour includes interactive activities such as crafts, stories, centers, music and play time. Children will be introduced to colors numbers and letters. A wonderful introduction to school. A perfect way to spend an hour with your child! Participants must pre-register.
